Kollel “Ohr Hashalom” for Rabbinical Ordination
The Kollel affiliated to the “Ohr Hashalom” Institutions is a unique center for young married students who wish to devote themselves to in-depth Torah study in order to qualify as Rabbis, dayanim, shochetim and other Torah-based professions.

Today, about thirty rabbinical scholars are enrolled in the Kollel, which boasts over four hundred graduates that have completed their studies and received ordination approved by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

Many of our graduates serve as rabbis occupying key positions in communities in Israel, in the IDF, and in Jewish centers in the Diaspora. Many specialize in specific areas of Jewish law, such as dayanut, slaughter, laws of issur v’heter (kashrut), marriage, etc. Thanks to their comprehensive and professional training, they qualify to conduct and influence the spiritual and community life wherever they are appointed.
