The High School affiliated to the “Ohr Hashalom” Institutions was founded in 1989 as a Yeshiva for older boys (aged 13-16), which proudly bears the name of Mullah Ohr Shraga Yazdi ztz”l. The Yeshiva is located at 7 Moshe Hagiz Street in Jerusalem, occupying a spacious building designed with the needs of the students and their personal and spiritual development in mind.
The complex includes well-equipped classrooms, a magnificent Beit Midrash for Torah study, a comfortable and well-maintained boarding school, and a dining room that provides three hot and nutritious meals a day – all to provide students with a supportive, nourishing and progressive learning environment.
At the Yeshiva, we strive to furnish students with the best possible, both academically, personally and ethically. We take care of every little detail, so that they lack nothing – from physical conditions to emotional and educational support. Each student receives personal attention and close guidance from dedicated teachers and rabbis, with the aim of helping them to fulfill their inherent potential, grow and develop as a G-d-fearing person motivated by high spiritual values. At the Yeshiva, we foster excellence in both sacred and secular studies, believing that combining Torah with secular studies is the key to success and a meaningful and ethical life.
Our vision is to produce Torah-orientated students endowed with ethical values and a deep Jewish identity, who will bring a blessing to the Jewish people, and who will continue to proudly carry forward the heritage of Israel.
